Chemistry

For Chemistry we are making egg things, I don't know what they are called, but we put egg shells in sugar water. Then we put different egg shells in alum water. Then left them over night.

For Chemistry we made play dough. We first made the plan play dough witch was a tanish white. Then we put food coloring in it witch made it different colors. It was very fun.

Bees and wasps? By Neeka and Caleb

                                             Why do bees have black and yellow stripes?

 In nature, bright colors usually is danger to predators. The bright colors make it so that the animal may be dangerous to eat. Bright colors with dark ones is in stripes on a bee or snake, make the colors seem brighter. 
The venom may not save the life of the bee but the animal that comes into a fight with it may learn that it is painful. This could save the lives of other bees.

                      This is why bees have black and yellow stripes

                                   Why do wasps sting?

Only female wasps and bees can sting, because they have eggs in them. When a girl wasp stings you they lay eggs in you. That's they leave a bump, just if you were wondering. when a wasp stings a human, it is because they think that they are going to their nest. The wasp signals the rest of the colony to attack. Wasps sting because they think they are going to hurt them, and because they are scared of us, because we are so big.

       

                                    That's why wasps sting.

French

for French class we read Blanche de Neige, witch means The Snow of White witch is Snow White. We read some then we wrote about on a peace of paper.

For chemistry we put water and salt together and then we wrote on black paper with it, and then we put it in the oven then the liquid witch was the water evaporated and moved in to the air and turned into gas and the molecules all turned into different things.

For chemistry we got a glass baby food bottle and put clay on the bottom of the bottle and filled the bottle with water, and then we put 2 drops of food coloring in it the put a straw in the bottle and the straw filled up with the water. Then we dumped the water out and put the clay with the straw in it in the freezer.

The french teacher was not able to come.

For chemistry we put baking soda in a balloon and vinegar in a bottle and put the balloon on the bottle and the balloon blew up.
